The Dispensary Assistant Manager supports the Dispensary Manager with all aspects of dispensary operations. This position performs the duties of the Dispensary Manager and operates the store in the absence of the Dispensary Manager.

responsibilities

  • Assist Dispensary Manager with daily operations of the dispensary.
  • Supervise Dispensary employees and perform Dispensary Manager duties in Dispensary Manager’s absence, or when directed.
  • Greet and check-in customers as they enter the dispensary. Perform verification of customer ID and cannabis card status.
  • Support all marketing and sales efforts of the company to ensure sales goals are met.
  • Discuss and make appropriate product recommendations to customers based on their physician’s recommendation.
  • Access and properly utilize the state’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR) in dispensing product to customers.
  • Assist with regular inventory counts and ensure inventory processes are followed.
  • Dispense medication and collect payment via POS register (cash, debit, etc).
  • Maintain strict controls on product, cash, and patient data at all times.
  • Assist with training new employees as well as re-training of existing employees, when needed.
  • Assist Dispensary Manager with employee schedules and managing employee work hours and time off requests.
  • Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established company policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with latest industry and product knowledge.

qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a “Key-Holding” Assistant Manager of a retail or restaurant establishment with 20 or more employees
  • Medical, pharmaceutical, or related background preferred
  • Able to work required retail hours and schedule
  • Able and willing to work in a busy and hectic retail environment
  • Excellent work history with verifiable references
  • Bilingual desired but not required
  • 21 years or older
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass drug testing and Level 2 Florida State background check
  • Ability and willingness to follow safety policies and practices
